Last week (or a bit more now) we spent a little bit of time in Philly. Here is my cutie nephew. I love those big eyes.
Our friend, Matt, was also in Philly last week. It was great to catch up a bit, even though we didn't overlap very long. He was a college roommate of Nick's and likes to take credit for introducing us...although, I'm not sure it was his intention that it would lead to marriage.
May 26th was my parent's 35th wedding anniversary. This picture is slightly reminiscent of their engagement picture.
In addition to the Chesapeake Bay and Philadelphia, we spent about four days in north-central PA at Nick's family cabin. It was a work week that us kids gifted his parents for Christmas. This picture was taken moments before we jumped in the car and sped towards Philly (for the second time).
Overall, we had a great time visiting with family for our vacation. We definitely did a lot of driving though. It's hard to do it any other way when you live so far away. If you're going to drive nearly 9 hours to visit with family, you might as well drive another hour or so and see the others as well. It always makes for a full week, but would be much harder to be so close and not visit family and close friends.
Since we've been back we've revamped our summer house-project plans and have been working in the yard. It has been HOT, but I'm thrilled that summer is finally here.
